Recommendation status

The Tasmanian Government is taking strong action to keep Tasmanian children and young people safe.

The Tasmanian Government Response, Keeping Children Safe and Rebuilding Trust, to the Commission of Inquiry into the Tasmanian Government's Responses to Child and Sexual Abuse in Institutional Settings accepts all 191 recommendations made by the Commission.

The Government has begun to implement the recommendations and established a program of work across three phases.

We also continue to implement and report on a suite of interim actions, determined prior to the release of the Report. These interim actions were in response to issues raised through the Commission of Inquiry hearings. You can see progress on all actions and recommendations below.
