Office of the Independent Regulator hosting upcoming events

May 09 2025

The Office of the Independent Regulator (OIR) will be hosting a series of upcoming events in-person and virtually across the state in June and July.

Out-of-home care in-person information sessions

Starting in June, the OIR has out-of-home care in-person information sessions in Hobart (16th), Burnie (17th) and Launceston (18th).

Foster, kinship and respite carers and (the people working with them) will gain an understanding of the Reportable Conduct Scheme, and how it applies to the out-of-home care sector.

The session will follow a discussion format to give participants the opportunity to ask questions.

All sector in-person information sessions

The OR will also host in-person information sessions for all organisations in Hobart (16th), Burnie (17th) and Launceston (18th).

These sessions (held after lunch at the same venues as the out-of-home care sessions) will provide practical ways that organisations can ensure child safety by putting the framework into practice.
